We were all glued to the TV early this morning watching the stunning Kate Middleton marry her Prince, but here is my own little coverage on that fabulous dress that renamed Kate as the modern-day Grace Kelly. Designed by Sarah Burton - from the house of Alexander McQueen, the dress was adorned with hand made lace created by the Royal School of Needlework. The style was definitely modern Hollywood cool with minimal details and a small 2 foot train. Her veil was also handmade with an embroidered trim that complemented the lace on her sleeves. Looking at her bridal look, she portrayed elegance, modernity and a touch of her own personal style as well.
As for the designer herself, having been part of the House of McQueen since 2000, she outdid herself by creating this masterpiece that left millions of people in awe. Here are a few of other pieces that are part of her Autumn/Winter collection, we can see how the square movement of fabric on the hips area is reflected in many of her pieces, however she did tone it down a bit for the Royal Wedding, but who could blame her!
